Nursing home Martin Podháj (2021)

The subject of the project documentation is the construction of a social services facility. It is a residential facility providing institutional social care (year-round or weekly) for individuals who have reached retirement age and require assistance from another person.

The proposed building is a non-basement, single-story structure; the second floor is designed only in the central part above the main entrance. In terms of layout, the building is divided into a central section, a residential section on the southern side – Pavilion A, and a residential section on the northern side – Pavilion B. The central section contains the main entrance, operational facilities (storage rooms, sanitary facilities), a food serving area with dining room, a common room, a visitors’ room, therapy and rehabilitation rooms, and a chapel. Pavilion A includes 14 double rooms; Pavilion B includes 2 double rooms, 8 single rooms, a treatment room, and a room for a social worker for the provision of social counseling and social work with clients and their families. Each room has its own sanitary facilities (toilet, washbasin, shower). The second floor accommodates staff facilities – changing rooms, sanitary facilities, offices, and meeting rooms.
